The two basic forms of Pilates:

  • Mat-based Pilates is a series of exercises performed on the floor using gravity, your own body weight and sometimes props to provide resistance. This is to help condition the deeper, supporting muscles of your body to improve posture, balance and coordination. Our "Core Powerhouse".

  • Equipment-based Pilates is done utilizing equipment such as the reformer, chair and springboard that works the body against spring-loaded resistance, in purposeful, fluid movements.
